Skin Care : Lip Ice Butter Ice Cream Matcha

Dear Guys, 

Now I want to share about my new lip butter which is Lip Ice Butter Ice Cream Matcha from ROHTO. I know I know that it is very unusual for me to share about my skin care products. But still I want to share about it because I am not someone whom like to buy skin care or cosmetic or fashion products. I used to do it but have stopped since then because I realized my skin is quite sensitive so I cannot buy cosmetic or skin care like before. I have to choose the products very carefully. 

My skin is very prone to acne. So after trial and error, applying varying cosmetic and skin care product. I choose the ones whom contained Matcha, green tea, aloe vera, bamboo, and etc. Normally, I don't really care about lip butter. But when I see it on Carrefour, I quickly get it because this is the first time I find lip butter matcha. I really love Matcha. Please don't ask me why because I don't know it myself. After I went home, I try to apply the lip butter. It was not what I expected. Instead of Matcha, it was more like Green Tea. For people who don't know even though Matcha is also one form of Green Tea, it was different. I am quite disappointed because it was not cheap. Still I like it because it feels very special. 

I can proudly say that I am Matcha lover ^^. Anyway, the texture itself is very soft. It was quite smooth on the lips. It was not too heavy but also not too light. My lip is quite dry. So I supposed I really need one and it really helps my appearance. He he. But maybe I wont't purchase it again because it was quite expensive compare to its peers ^^.

Online Book Club : Professional Reviewer

Dear Guys,

Now I want to talk about joining online book club that have very original name which is Online Book Club. There are so many online book club. Now what is special with this Online Book Club ?

It is because it was quite big. I mean it have many active participant both authors and readers. Now there's another feature in this forum that I think quite unique which is the ability to request to join review team and download book for free in exchange for honest review. Where did I hear about that before ? Mostly the authors request readers to review their books in exchange for honest review. In essence authors interact with readers directly. But in this forum to avoid authors influencing readers, there's no direct contact between authors and readers. In fact it was prohibited to maintain "honest" and "neutral" review. And if you have accumulated good points, you can also given payment for your reviews. This is a good perk for readers who want to get additional money. Still you cannot do it if you don't love what you are doing ^^

As readers, I love to read many books and review it on Amazon or Goodreads. It was called consumer review. But in this review, you were asked to become professional reviewer in which there are guidelines that you have to adhere in order for your review to be published on the forum. It was not easy especially for first timer "professional reviewer" like me. Still there's always the first time for everything. If you never try it, you will never know ^^

So currently as new member my review score is 0.2 of 100. It was quite pathetic. ha ha. But I intend to change that. You can do that by doing your "task". It was that simple. So for anyone who want to try to become professional reviewer, this is a good opportunity to learn. Why not just trying to post it on the blog yourself. I mean isn't it tempting to do your own professional review without strict guidelines ??? Yes of course you can do that. But in this forum, you were given feedback and you can test your skill. Anyway, cannot wait to review my first book professionally. Hopefully I can do it not too bad. But maybe it will be quite sometime because I have many books that I get for free in exchange for my review. Despite knowing that ARC have bad reputation, I still feel the need to do it because I believe not every authors are lucky enough to get their books reviewed professionally or get Amazon Vine Reviews for whatever reason. So I really want to help them. He He

Jakarta International Book Fair 2016

Dear All,
It have been long time since I last attended my book fair. Fortunately, I can take several photos this time.

Jakarta International Book Fair 2016 berlokasi di Jakarta Convention Center Assembly Hall. Pameran ini berlangsung dari tanggal 28 September - 2 Oktober 2016. Meskipun penulis sudah beberapa kali mendatangi Jakarta Book Fair. Namun, baru kali ini penulis mendatangi Jakarta International Book Fair. Lalu apa bedanya Jakarta Book Fair dengan Jakarta International Book Fair ? Ya, seperti yang diketahui perbedaannya terletak pada ada tidaknya peserta pameran dari luar negeri. Bila pada pameran sebelumnya, stand-stand hanya diisi oleh penerbit lokal. Namun, pada pameran ini, penulis dapat menjumpai stand dari negara lain seperti Malaysia, Arab Saudi, Korea, dan China. Pameran ini pun berlangsung dengan lebih nyaman, dikarenakan lokasinya yang lebih luas sehingga para pengunjung tidak perlu berdesak-an, kecuali pada stand-stand yang memang populer, seperti Mizan, dan Gramedia. 

Pada pameran ini, penulis pun menyempatkan diri untuk membeli 8 buku promosi yang murah meriah. Hehe. Namun, sangat disayangkan pada pameran kali ini sepertinya penerbit Ufuk tidak berpartisipasi. Padahal penulis mengharapkan dapat membeli buku promo terbitan Ufuk mengingat penulis lumayan suka membeli buku promo terbitan Ufuk dari tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Namun, sangat disayangkan waktu pameran pada hari Sabtu bersamaan dengan wisuda Unika Atmajaya (sebagai alumni Atmajaya, penulis jadi teringat waktu penulis wisuda). Hehe. Alhasil, parkir pun menjadi sangat ramai dan padat merayap. Namun, karena penulis menggunakan ojek online sehingga penulis tidak terlalu terpengaruh macet. Bagi yang membawa mobil, tentunya hal ini akan cukup menyulitkan. Meskipun demikian, penulis cukup puas dengan pameran kali ini. 

Cannot wait for next year Jakarta International Book Fair. Kedepannya harus lebih baik.

Choose Your Own Story : Is There Really A Choice ?!

Dear Guys, 

It have been a long time since I write my post. Now I would like to talk about Choose Your Story. I really like them, especially since it makes me wonder whether we really can change our fate by changing our choice.  

Semua tentu memahami bahwa hidup penuh dengan perjuangan dan tantangan yang harus dihadapi. Banyak suka dan duka yang harus dialami. Dalam menjalani hidup kita sering kali dihadapkan pada berbagai macam masalah yang tentunya harus diselesaikan. Dalam menyelesaikan masalah2 kehidupan, kita dihadapkan pula pada berbagai pilihan yang harus diambil. Keputusan untuk tidak memilih tetap lha merupakan sebuah pilihan. Namun benarkah pilihan2 tersebut membawa kita pada hasil yang berbeda ?! 

Sebagian orang menganut paham bahwa nasib manusia sudah ditentukan dan tidak dapat diubah. Begitu pula dengan penulis sendiri. Namun, sebagian beranggapan bahwa nasib manusia dapat diubah. Tentunya hal ini merupakan sesuatu yang tidak dapat dibuktikan karena manusia hanya dapat mengambil satu pilihan dalam hidupnya dan pilihan yang tidak diambil tidak akan datang kembali. Sama seperti waktu yang telah lewat tidak akan dapat kembali. Ada sebuah website yang sangat menarik yaitu choose your story. Dalam website ini, kita dapat membaca sebuah cerita yang menggunakan prinsip choose your own adventure seperti buku2 yang pernah populer pada tahun 80-90-an. Bagi yang menyukai cerita2 choose your own adventure, bisa melirik website tersebut. 

Salah satu cerita yang sangat menarik adalah story yang berjudul "eternal" yang ditulis oleh end master. Cerita ini mengisahkan perjalanan hidup seorang manusia dari lahir hingga mati. Di awal cerita kita dihadapkan pada 3 pilihan yang akan menentukan perjalanan kita selanjutnya. Apakah kita akan menjadi pahlawan, atau pengkhianat, atau mercenary, atau pemberontak. Keunikan dari cerita ini terletak pada luasnya imaginasi sang penulis dan dedikasinya untuk membuat cerita yang sangat menarik dan menyentuh perasaan. Tidak ada pilihan yang benar atau salah, baik atau buruk. Semua pilihan memiliki konsekuensinya masing2. Tidak hanya itu, karakter yang menjadi musuh kita di pilihan yang satu, bisa menjadi sahabat atau bahkan istri kita di pilihan yang lain. Harus diakui bahwa story ini memiliki cerita yang cukup panjang. Namun, bila kita memainkan semua pilihan, kita akan mendapatkan gambaran secara menyeluruh mengenai siapakah kita, mengapa sebuah karakter bertindak demikian, apa sesungguhnya terjadi, dsb karena kita melihat dari berbagai sudut pandang. 

Kembali ke pertanyaan penulis semula, apakah kehidupan sama seperti cerita choose your story ini. Sayangnya berbeda dengan choose your story di mana kita bisa mengulang pilihan, dalam hidup kita hanya akan mendapatkan kesempatan satu kali saja. Setelah membaca cerita ini, penulis menjadi berpikir kembali apakah nasib benar2 tidak dapat diubah. Pada akhirnya kita semua adalah apa yang kita pikirkan. Seperti pepatah mengatakan "you are what you think you are. If you think you can do it, you are right and if you think you can not do it, you are also right". 

So, terlepas dari apakah kita percaya bahwa nasib sudah ditentukan atau tidak, kita perlu mengambil sebuah keputusan yang sesuai dengan hati nurani kita. Karena pada akhirnya keputusan yang kita ambil harus kita pertanggungjawabkan setelah kita mati.
