MSC Indonesia: ... and the winner is...

Mobile Legends Southeast Championship that held in Taman Anggrek mal, Jakarta, Indonesia from 1-3rd September 2017.

I did not come to Taman Anggrek because I am not live in Jakarta at the moment, yet I watch it live from youtube. I even did not realized there is MSC border event because I am too intense watching these matches and I got something else to do in my real life.

My favorite from the start is I Do Not Sleep (INDS) from Thailand. I like their teamwork and their playing skills. Yet I also really hope Saint Indo can go through big 3.

Saint Indo lost the first match against Impunity from Singapore and then win from E8 from indonesia but lost again to Solid Gaming Alpha from Philipines.

I do not sleep squad also lost 1 time from salty salad but at the grand final, they can beat Salty Salad and become 1st winner. I personally liked how they can learnt from enemy strategy by using estes as support and beat their rafaela strategy. The bad side using Estes/Rafaela is the other team members need to protect estes/rafaela from enemies, because either estes/rafaela will be 1st prey because they really support and give life to other members. Therefore, other teammate need to show their teamwork and protect each other, especially estes/rafaela.

I think the winner is not the one who never lost, but the one who can get up from their lost and do another strategy to win.

Big Bad Wolf 2017

Dear All, 

This is the first time I come to Big Bad Wolf event in 2017 at Serpong, Indonesia. I came on April 20th because I get the privilege to come at preview sale. But I can tell you there's nothing like preview sale because still there are so many many people at the event. It was really crowded. I cannot imagine what happened on general sale. It must be really suffocating. Here we go ^^

                         
                                    

Like last year, Big Bad Wolf 2017 was held at ICE BSD. It was quite far away from my home. Basically 1.5 hours motorcycle ride (even that not on peak hours). Cannot imagine going there at peak hours. This is the first time I attend this event and the first time too go into ICE (Indonesia Convention Exhibition) BSD because it is quite far. But I can understand why the organizers choose this place because it must be cheaper than rent place like Jakarta Convention Center. It was held on Hall 7 - 10. But we must enter at Hall 7. Luckily It was FREE. But even if I have to pay, I will still come because I really love BOOKS ^^ 

I really like this event. I mean yes it was full of people but it was also full of BOOKS ^^. Everytime I go, I can see BOOKS everywhere. Unfortunately since I was in hurry, I cannot see all the books. Since I want to buy imported books, so I focus on my shopping there. We know that import books doesn't have plastic so we can see what's inside. I really love it. At the same time, for some books wrapped in plastic, there's also sample. Very good thinking on organizers part. I try to choose the book as quick as I can but it was really so many. So I cannot see all the books. I can only see other people book in their shopping cart and think "I really want that book too but I cannot find it". 

At last, I decide enough is enough even though I still want to shop hehe. I go into Mandiri booth (Indonesian local bank). Why not go to cashier ??? You ask. Well, the trick is to get the coupon for fast line. What is fast line ? Fast line is well let's just say that you get special access into the cashier. You only need to apply for Mandiri credit card. How easy is it ???? Well I do my homework after all. I am proud of myself ^^

But that's not the end, the queue itself is very long. I mean even with fast line, I still have to wait for 30 minutes before I can finish and pay. I mean imagine if I don't use fast line. I buy more or less 7 books. 4 very expensive history book and 3 popular imported books. I thought at last my shopping will end happily ever after. But .............. imagine my surprised when I open the plastic for history book and find that I buy the same book but different cover and different publisher. I mean how stupid I am. It was really regrettable. This is lessons learned the hard way. Next time I must be more careful before buying imported book. In Indonesia, it's very rare for different publisher to publish the same book. So I was careless back there. My mistake :(

Anyway, it really worth it. For people who live in Jabodetabek and love books. You really have to come. Cannot wait for Big Bad Wolf 2018 ^^

Pilkada DKI 15 Februari 2017

Dear all, 

Now I would like to talk local election in my country. This is election for governor and vice governer position at DKI Jakarta. So I will talk in Indonesian.

Semua tidak terasa yah waktu cepat berlalu. Sebentar lagi akan diadakan pilkada alias pemilihan kepada daerah di provinsi DKI Jakarta. Tidak seperti pemilihan sebelumnya, pemilihan kali ini dipenuhi dengan banyak kontroversi, demo, dan bahkan kekerasan. Sekali lagi isu SARA kembali dibawa-bawa. Tidak terhitung banyaknya manufer politik yang dilakukan oleh para calon dan partai pendukungnya. Bahkan beberapa hari sebelum pilkada, FPI mengadakan demo dan long march menuju Bogor. Tentunya hal ini menimbulkan keresahan bagi para warga DKI Jakarta. Selain itu, penulis juga mendapatkan berita bahwa para pendukung dari salah satu calon hendak pura-pura salah memilih (agar dapat mengganti kertas suara). Hal ini dilakukan agar pendukung yang datang kesiangan tidak dapat memilih karena kehabisan kertas suara. Penulis berharap semoga berita ini tidak benar. So, bagi yang terdaftar untuk memilih agar datang lebih awal dengan persyaratan lengkap agar dapat memilih. Penulis sangat berharap semua warga DKI Jakarta dapat memilih sesuai dengan hati nuraninya karena hal ini akan mempengaruhi nasib DKI Jakarta 5 tahun kedepan, apalagi pemerintah telah meliburkan hari pilkada. So tidak ada alasan untuk tidak memilih. Gunakan hak pilihmu untuk menyukseskan pilkada ini sehingga siapapun gubernur yang terpilih benar-benar mewakili suara DKI Jakarta. Bagi yang masih bingung memilih, bisa melihat link ini untuk mengetahui dengan lebih jelas visi dan misi dari masing-masing calon KPU Jakarta

There are many things that have happened in 2016. Many happy, sad, painful, and delighted memories that we will cherished in our hearts. But it's time to move our lives to 2017. Let's began this year with a new feeling, a new hope, and a new wish. Hope 2017 will be a much better year for everyone. Let's keep trying to do our best and fulfilling our dream. You will never know. 2017 could be the best year in our life. 

Let me apologize for all my mistakes and thanks for everyone support. I cannot go this far without my best friend Selene. I also want to thank my family. Last but not least, I want to thank you guys. You guys keep me going and not to give up, even in my darkest moments. God Bless All of Us.

Goodreads Choice Award 2016

Dear all,

Time have passed so quickly. I still remember the day when I quit my job on January 2016 and now it was already the end of year. I still remember most of the time what I did or do not did. Full of up and down. Stop talking about me. Now talking about the end of year, once again it was the time for "Goodreads Choice Award 2016". Every year I try to vote the books in category that I am interested. But now, I am gonna try to vote in every category based on synopsis, rating, cover design, etc. I believe great book should have the complete package. My best friend "Selene" also vote this year. This is the first time she vote on Goodreads and I am really proud of her.  Now, there are many great and interesting books in this award. Some of them have been eliminated in previous round. Whichever book win the award, for me every book is the winner because I can feel the love and hard work from its authors, editors, publishers, reviewers, designer, and other people involved. To date, there's already 3,000,000+ votes and it will keep increasing until the end. The final round voting will last until Nov 28, 2016 (more or less) because I don't live in US so there must be difference in time zone. 

So, for all book readers, you may like or don't like Goodreads Choice Award and it was understandable. But for book readers that want to vote in Goodreads Choice Award, you can go to Goodreads Choice Award 2016. Anyway, please don't take it seriously. Just be yourself and choose the book that you like. Have a nice fun everyone ^^

Jakarta International Book Fair 2016

Dear All,
It have been long time since I last attended my book fair. Fortunately, I can take several photos this time.

Jakarta International Book Fair 2016 berlokasi di Jakarta Convention Center Assembly Hall. Pameran ini berlangsung dari tanggal 28 September - 2 Oktober 2016. Meskipun penulis sudah beberapa kali mendatangi Jakarta Book Fair. Namun, baru kali ini penulis mendatangi Jakarta International Book Fair. Lalu apa bedanya Jakarta Book Fair dengan Jakarta International Book Fair ? Ya, seperti yang diketahui perbedaannya terletak pada ada tidaknya peserta pameran dari luar negeri. Bila pada pameran sebelumnya, stand-stand hanya diisi oleh penerbit lokal. Namun, pada pameran ini, penulis dapat menjumpai stand dari negara lain seperti Malaysia, Arab Saudi, Korea, dan China. Pameran ini pun berlangsung dengan lebih nyaman, dikarenakan lokasinya yang lebih luas sehingga para pengunjung tidak perlu berdesak-an, kecuali pada stand-stand yang memang populer, seperti Mizan, dan Gramedia. 

Pada pameran ini, penulis pun menyempatkan diri untuk membeli 8 buku promosi yang murah meriah. Hehe. Namun, sangat disayangkan pada pameran kali ini sepertinya penerbit Ufuk tidak berpartisipasi. Padahal penulis mengharapkan dapat membeli buku promo terbitan Ufuk mengingat penulis lumayan suka membeli buku promo terbitan Ufuk dari tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Namun, sangat disayangkan waktu pameran pada hari Sabtu bersamaan dengan wisuda Unika Atmajaya (sebagai alumni Atmajaya, penulis jadi teringat waktu penulis wisuda). Hehe. Alhasil, parkir pun menjadi sangat ramai dan padat merayap. Namun, karena penulis menggunakan ojek online sehingga penulis tidak terlalu terpengaruh macet. Bagi yang membawa mobil, tentunya hal ini akan cukup menyulitkan. Meskipun demikian, penulis cukup puas dengan pameran kali ini. 

Cannot wait for next year Jakarta International Book Fair. Kedepannya harus lebih baik.

China Ban Korean Idols and Dramas Amid THAAD Dispute

Dear guys,

I am sorry for late article. Today I want to talk news about China ban Korean idols and dramas amid THAAD dispute. 

Selama ini China dan Korea Selatan terkenal memiliki hubungan yang baik. Namun, belakangan ini hubungan antara China dan Korea sedang tidak baik dikarenakan rencana penempatan misil THAAD di Seoul. Misil THAAD adalah pelindung misil dari Amerika yang akan ditempatkan di Korea Selatan pada tahun 2017 untuk menghadapi Korea Utara. Hal ini mendapatkan tentangan dari China dan Rusia yang menganggap misil THAAD dapat digunakan untuk memata-matai pemerintah China. China pun memberikan peringatan keras bahwa penempatan misil THAAD dapat mengganggu hubungan antara China dan Korea. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya "rumor" pelarangan selebritis Korea Selatan untuk melakukan aktivitas komersial di China.  

Menurut rumor yang beredar pemerintah China melalui SARFT (China's State of Administration, Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television) telah melarang acara TV yang diproduksi oleh perusahaan Korea Selatan ataupun melibatkan selebritis Korea Selatan. Tidak hanya itu, para idola atau selebritis Korea Selatan pun dilarang mengadakan aktivitas di China. Konser yang diadakan pun dibatasi hanya boleh maksimal didatangi oleh 10.000 penggemar. Kontan hal ini menimbulkan kepanikan di Korea Selatan. Hal ini terlihat dari turunnya harga saham perusahaan entertainment Korea Selatan seperti SM, YG, dan JYP. Namun, berdasarkan penyelidikan, instruksi tersebut tidak dibuat secara tertulis melainkan melalui verbal. Dua stasiun TV di China mengatakan bahwa mereka telah diinformasikan bahwa pembuatan acara TV yang melibatkan aktor Korea Selatan atau berasal dari Korea Selatan tidak akan mendapat persetujuan untuk ditayangkan. Namun, acara yang telah mendapatkan persetujuan tidak akan terpengaruh. Meskipun, rumor ini belum dapat dibuktikan, beberapa aktivitas yang melibatkan aktor atau idola Korea Selatan telah dibatalkan secara mendadak. Meskipun kebijakan ini terlihat tidak menyenangkan, namun ternyata banyak masyarakat China yang mendukungnya. Mereka menganggap bahwa aktor atau idola Korea Selatan hanya datang ke China untuk mengeruk keuntungan tanpa berniat untuk mempelajari budaya ataupun bahasa China. Dan seringkali dianggap merendahkan penduduk China. 

Updated#1 : Ini adalah list drama China-Korea yang didesas desuskan di larang tampil di stasiun TV China beserta selebritis Korea Selatan.

So, akan jadi seperti apakah perkembangan selanjutnya antara China vs Korea Selatan ??? Hanya waktu yang dapat menjawabnya.

I am sorry it have been a long time since I post an article. Now I would like to share the happy news. Maybe some of you already know that today is Wallace Huo and Ruby Lin wedding days. They are married in Bvlgari Hotel & Resort Bali. Yesterday is their welcome dinner party. Now is wedding ceremony. Many Huomis and Ruby fans are very happy to celebrate today event.
